The project, located in Nabinagar, Bihar, involves the supply and installation of a 1600kVA, 33kV/433V package substation for the Nabinagar Super Thermal Power Project, Stage-I (3×660 MW).

Detailed Scope of Work

Equipment Supply

  • Design and Manufacturing: The project includes the design and manufacturing of a 1600kVA package substation, complete with all necessary accessories. The substation is designed to be compact and suitable for outdoor installation
  • Components:
    • – 33 KV H.T. Panel with Vacuum/SF-6 circuit breaker (fixed type).
    • – 1600KVA, 33kV/433V hermetically sealed oil-insulated transformer.
    • – L.T. Switchboard.
    • – Earthing connections and strips inside the compact substation.

    • Protection and Safety:
      • – Degree of protection for HT & LT switchgear compartments must be IP55 or better.
      • – Interlocks to prevent opening of any compartment doors when the incoming supply is ON.
      • – Protection scheme to safeguard operators working on the cable side from back charging.
