Project Scope

110 KV Equipment:
  • Supply: Procurement of all necessary materials and equipment for the 11 KV Grid Power Station.
  • Installation: Setting up of the power station, including all electrical and civil works.
  • Testing & Commissioning: Conducting thorough tests to ensure the system operates efficiently and safely before handing it over to GAIL.

Detailed Scope of Work

Supply of Materials and Equipment

110 KV Equipment:

  • Supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of a 1600 KVA PSS.
  • Acceptable makes: ABB, Siemens, Schneider.
  • Technical details: 11 KV transformer, 433V LV system, IP-54 protection for MV & LV
    compartments.
  • Enclosure construction: 2 mm thick painted GI material, natural ventilation, IP-34
    protection for transformer compartment.

High Voltage Switchgear:

  • Supply of 11 kV switchgear with vacuum circuit breaker modules.
  • Protection: Microprocessor-based numerical overcurrent and earth fault relay protection.
  • Interconnection: 1C x 3R x 120 sq.mm Aluminum XLPE cable.

Interconnection:

  • 1600 KVA, 11KV/433V, DYN-11, oil type, hermetically sealed.
  • Standards: > IS: 2026 and IS: 1180(part-I).
  • Accessories: Winding temperature indicator with alarm and trip contact.

Outdoor Enclosure:

  • 1.5 mm (non-load bearing) and 2.0 mm (load bearing) thickness GI sheet steel
  • Protection: IP-54 for HT & LT switchgear compartment, IP-23 for transformer compartment.
  • Construction: Modular, robust, with IP-54 degree of protection.

Low Voltage Panel:

  • Design, manufacturing, and assembly of fully compartmentalized switchboard.
  • Busbar: High conductivity (99%) ETP – Electrical grade copper or 50-55% Aluminium.
  • Protection: Microprocessor-based IDMT relay for circuit breakers

Cables and Accessories

  • Supply and laying of various sizes of aluminum and copper cables.
  • Cable terminations, including tinned copper, heavy-duty crimping lugs, and double compression glands
  • Cable trays and supports: Fabrication and installation of GI perforated cable trays.
Installation
  • Civil Works:
  • Excavation and backfilling for foundations.
  • Concrete work: Plain and reinforced cement concrete for foundations, plinths, and other structures.
  • Reinforcement: Supplying and placing high-strength deformed steel bars.
  • Structural steel works: Fabrication and erection of structural steel supports
Electrical Installation:
  • Installation of all electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgear, and panels.
  • Wiring and connections: Ensuring all electrical connections are secure and meet safety standards.
  • Testing: Conducting insulation resistance tests and continuity tests.

Testing & Commissioning
System Testing:

  • Testing of all electrical systems, including transformers, switchgear, and panels.
  • Verification of protection relays and circuit breakers.
  • Load testing to ensure the system operates efficiently under load conditions.

Commissioning:

  • Commissioning of the entire power station to ensure it is fully operational.
  • Final checks and balances to ensure all systems are running smoothly.
  • Handing over the power station to GAIL with all necessary documentation and as-built drawings.
